4. Session day – The day you will do the cake smash session at my studio.
5. Order – You will receive your images in a personalised online gallery for donwloading purposes and a personalised phone app gallery for viewing on your phone.

The cake smash includes Marni’s time, talent and editing time. The session fee does NOT include the giant cupcake.

We will email you our cake smash session guide when you book. This covers everything from how to prepare, the photo session and what to bring.

We do not provide the Giant Cupcake you can bring your own cake on the day.

On the day of your appointment, we start out with some family photos prior to the cake smashing. Photographs are taken during this time. From there, we introduce the cake and this is where the magic happens. Your baby is allowed to make a mess with their birthday cake, hence the “smashing.” We then end it with a bath session and you may decide to have water in the bath or not.

A cake smash session usually takes an hour to complete.

Due to the popularity of these photo shoots, it is recommended that you schedule as much in advance as possible to ensure the best time slot for you. Many clients like booking prior to the first birthday party so they can make cards or invitations to the actual party.

Your name, child’s name, who is accompanying you for the shoot and contact information. Also, if you need anything supplied, please let me know at this time.

I have a selection of outfits for boys and girls to choose from when booking your session.

For the family photos you need to bring your own outfit, for mom, dad and siblings. Something comfortable.  While I have clothing for boys and girls, you can bring your own costume for the photo session if you do not want to wear what we have in studio for your little ones. Casual or cute, it’s up to you. Just remember that this clothing is going to be covered in icing. So don’t bring anything that will stain or get ruined easily.

You can view your image from the comfort of your own home via your own private online gallery approximately 3 weeks after your session.

If you want to use the photos for the Birthday invitations, you will receive the first 2 digital photo files within 2 days after the photo shoot via online gallery.

My studio is not the biggest one out there. You can always do a full studio shoot in a couple of weeks.

We understand there can be unforeseen circumstances or baby is just not feeling well.  If you can please give us as much notice as possible and we will happily re-arrange your cake smash photo session.

I do not currently provide or sell my raw or unedited images.
