Our Process

Your photography experience is designed to be relaxed, personal and completely tailored to you.

Booking
To get started, simply send me an email to enquire. Once we’ve found a date that works for you, we’ll secure your booking and confirm all the details.

Consultation
We’ll have a chat to discuss your needs, ideas and vision for your session. You’ll also receive a helpful online styling guide with advice on outfits, makeup and how to prepare, so you can feel confident and ready for your shoot.

Session Day
On the day, we’ll photograph at the location we’ve chosen together — either in my studio in Byfleet or in the comfort of your own home.

Your Images
Once your images have been beautifully edited, you’ll receive your high-resolution photographs in a personalised online gallery, ready to download and enjoy. You’ll also receive a custom mobile app gallery, making it easy to view and share your images with family and friends wherever you are.

Video Slideshow
Every package includes a beautiful video slideshow featuring images — a lovely way to relive and share your photography experience.

Newborns should ideally be between 3 to 21 days old for newborn photography. The best timeframe for capturing the most beautiful images is within the first 14 days. During this stage, babies are often very sleepy, squishy and flexible, making it easier to pose them on props. Personally, I find that having them in for the photo session around day 6 to 7 yields excellent results.

Multiples, as well as premature babies, can be photographed up to 6 weeks from their birthday as they are often born earlier which prolongs the “newborn” phase.

I do photograph older newborns. Just keep in mind, the older they are the less they will sleep and therefore you might get more open-eyed photos than sleepy baby photos.

I usually begin the session with the family photos, so I ask that everyone arrives together and ready to start.

If your little one doesn’t need a feed when you arrive, we’ll begin with the family photographs. Don’t worry if you’re not sure what to do — I’ll guide you throughout the session, showing you how to stand, where to look and how to naturally hold, cuddle and kiss your baby. My aim is to make you feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera.

Once the family photographs are complete, we’ll move on to the newborn photographs — which is, of course, my favourite part of the session!

During this part of the shoot, I will work at your baby’s pace, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling whenever needed. Your baby’s safety and wellbeing are always my number one priority. I will never do anything that could hurt your baby, make them uncomfortable or put them at risk. You can feel completely confident that your little one is in safe and caring hands.

I also offer a fully mobile setup, so if you would prefer the session to take place at your home, I can bring everything needed and travel to your location.

The Little Dream

Newborn Mini Session Studio Fee: £150

This is a gentle, focused studio session dedicated to your newborn baby only. Perfect for capturing those precious early days in a simple and beautiful way.

Makeup and hairstyling are not provided, so please arrive camera-ready. As a general guideline, apply 10% more makeup than you normally would — it looks perfectly natural on camera during newborn shoots.

The Cherished Nest

In Studio Fee Byfleet: £250

Drive to Your Location Shoot – £320
Includes travel up to 1 hour from my studio in Byfleet.

Mommy, Daddy/partner, and siblings are included.

Your newborn session will feature a beautiful variety of family combinations:

• Mom + Baby
• Dad/Partner + Baby
• Siblings + Baby
• Mom + Dad + Baby
• Full family (Mom + Dad + Siblings + Baby); grandparents can be included on request

This package includes everything you need:

• Pre-shoot consultation call to discuss your vision and needs
• Helpful online styling & preparation guide
• 3 to 4-hour private photo session in my studio in Byfleet
• Professional editing of your images

• 25 mixed high-resolution digital-edited images delivered via personalised online gallery to download from + mobile app gallery for easy viewing and sharing

• 3 to 4-hour private photo session in my studio in West Byfleet
• Professional editing of your images

• 35 mixed high-resolution digital edited images delivered via personalised online gallery to download from + mobile app gallery for easy viewing and sharing
• Beautiful video slideshow of your images
• Extra images available at £10 per image

Important Notes:

Makeup and hair styling are not provided, so please arrive camera-ready. Rule of thumb: Apply 10% more makeup than you normally would — it looks perfectly natural on camera during newborn shoots.

Small blemishes can be fixed in post-production. As long as your baby is not very sick or feverish, there is no need to postpone your session.

Something without too many distracting details. Plain shirts or dresses work best. We will send you a “getting ready guide”  when you make the booking. I like to keep it simple, plain white, black or cream, works great and let’s make the baby the hero in all the photos. I do mainly photograph upper bodies unless otherwise specified by the client.
The studio is very warm and cozy for baby, so you can get into something more comfortable and cooler during the summer months.

You’ll be able to view your beautifully edited images from the comfort of your own home through your own private online gallery.

For full newborn sessions, your gallery will be ready to view and download approximately 3 weeks after your session.

For mini sessions, your images will be ready approximately 1 week after your shoot.

I do not currently provide or sell my raw or unedited images.

I welcome clients from Woking, Guildford and the surrounding areas.

Please note that my studio operates by appointment only, so sessions must be booked in advance.

If you’d prefer your session to take place in the comfort of your own home, I also offer a mobile photography service within approximately 1 hour of my area.

If you’re outside my travel area, I’d be delighted to welcome you to my studio, where sessions are available by appointment

With me, absolutely. The safety of your baby is my number 1 priority. My state of the art modern lights and camera equipment are designed to ensure your little one’s eyes are not harmed. Being completely mobile means you won’t have to concern yourself with any wires or cables on the photo day, as my equipment operates without the need for them.

A camera’s flash will not hurt a baby’s eyesight. Although it seems super bright, the light from flash photography is no brighter than the light from the sun in the middle of the day. Your camera flash only lasts for 1/400 second or shorter, so there is no damage to newborns from camera flashes. The light from the flash isn’t bright enough and doesn’t last long enough to cause injury.
